Ghost Chocolate Covered Strawberries
There is something about making Halloween party snacks that I just love. I’m sure it’s a mix of the creativity involved and the expression on the kids faces when they see the treats.
Here are a few reasons why you will want to make these ghost strawberries:
- Spooky & Cute – The perfect Halloween dessert that looks festive but is super simple to make.
- No-Bake & Easy – Just dip, decorate, and enjoy—no oven required!
- Party-Perfect Treat – Kids and adults will love these sweet, chocolatey ghosts at any Halloween gathering.
I’m thinking about making a ghost strawberry shortcake with this same process, placing the strawberries facing out in a glass trifle bowl and on top of the trifle. Wouldn’t that be cool?

Tips for Making White Chocolate Ghost Strawberries
While chocolate covered strawberries are super simple to make, here are a few tips to make these come out perfect!
- Prepping Strawberries: After washing the strawberries, it’s important to make sure they are completely dry before dipping. Even a little water can cause melted chocolate to seize or slide right off the berries.

- Melting Chocolate: White chocolate has a rich flavor but can be tricky to work with. Candy melts are easier and set quickly, but it is important not to over melt as you can get a burned flavor. If you have a double boiler, that is a great way to avoid over cooking.
- Dipping the Strawberries: When dipping the strawberries, turn them in the melted chocolate so they are covered on all sides. Hold the strawberry stem while dipping, or use a large toothpick.
- Place on Parchment Paper: Cover a sheet pan with parchment paper and place the strawberries on the pan after dipping.

Making the Ghost Face: A gel writing tube makes it super easy to make the face, but you can also use mini chocolate chips.
That’s all there is to it! Now you have cute little ghosties that come together in under 30 minutes and will be a hit with the kids (and adults).
